Force Wrap®

Composite Structural Reinforcement for Pipelines and Metallic Assets

ForceWrap® is a non-metallic composite repair system based on advanced FRP materials, engineered to restore the structural integrity of pipelines and metallic assets while in service—without shutdowns, cutting, or welding. By combining glass, aramid (Kevlar®), or carbon fibers with high-performance epoxy resins, ForceWrap® delivers reliable structural reinforcement for areas affected by corrosion, mechanical damage, or manufacturing defects. Each repair is developed through an engineering assessment in accordance with ASME PCC-2 and ISO 24817, defining the required laminate thickness based on asset-specific conditions to ensure a long-term asset integrity solution.

Applications

  • Wall loss due to internal or external corrosion.
  • Structural reinforcement of pressurized pipelines in operation.
  • Mechanical damage, impact, and severe abrasion.
  • Weld defects and stress concentration areas.
  • Reinforcement of elbows, tees, flanges, and geometric transitions.
  • Carbon steel pipelines in refineries, chemical plants, and upstream assets.
  • Proven performance in both onshore and offshore environments.

Key Benefits

  • High-strength structural reinforcement with excellent resistance to chemicals, abrasion, and erosion.
  • 100% solids epoxy (zero VOCs), aligned with strict HSE requirements.
  • On-stream installation: no shutdowns, no hot work required.
  • Minimal weight addition; does not alter the structural profile of the asset.
  • Fiber selection (GFRP / Kevlar® / CFRP) tailored to load conditions and environment.
  • Eliminates the need for costly replacement, significantly reducing downtime and O&M expenses.
  • Long-term solution designed to extend asset service life.
